Kentucky Couple’s Autumn Adventure: Exploring Alaska’s Backcountry and Cozying Up in our Cottages

by | Sep 29, 2024

Tricia and Kevin from Kentucky recently embarked on a thrilling journey with Alaska Backcountry Adventure Tours, to the Knik Glacier! They both enjoy riding in the ATV parks in Kentucky but decided they’d spend their 25th year anniversary with us on a private four-wheel tour with ABAT! They experienced the rugged beauty of the Alaskan wilderness with an up-close look at Alaska’s untamed landscapes, from towering mountains to pristine rivers, all while navigating the wild terrain in a guided off-road vehicle. The ride was exhilarating, offering both excitement and the chance to connect with nature in a way that’s only possible in Alaska.Β

Forget Me Not Cabin RentalAfter a day filled with outdoor excitement, the guests retired to the cozy Forget-Me-Not Cottage, one of the charming Alaska Backcountry Cottages. Nestled in a serene, forested setting, the cottage offered them the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The Forget-Me-Not Cottage, named after Alaska’s state flower, is known for its intimate atmosphere, making it an ideal place to unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures. With a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and views of the surrounding mountains, it provided a relaxing haven.Β

The combination of adrenaline-fueled exploration and peaceful, cozy lodging made this trip unforgettable. Whether it’s the thrill of navigating the rugged trails or the tranquility of the cottage, Alaska Backcountry Adventure Tours and Cottages offer a unique experience that lets guests from far and wide, including Kentucky, make lifelong memories in the heart of the Alaskan wilderness. I totally enjoyed meeting Tricia and Kevin and I’m grateful they didn’t mind me including their trip on our blog page!Β  I look forward to seeing them again!Β

Highly Recommended!

This place is wonderful! The view of the mountain range is excellent and the spot is secluded if your looking to wind down. Highly recommended if you are wanting to adventure in the Palmer-Wasilla area. The cottage was clean and the bed was comfortable. The owner left milk, a few eggs, coffee, oatmeal and snacks for us. It was a nice surprise. – Courtney D.
