Living in Prescott, Arizona, Katie and Kreston are used to living in the heat of almost 100 degrees during the summer months and are now contemplating chilling in Alaska!
Katie has lived in Alaska before, she’s spent an entire year so she’s seen the daylight and extreme weather conditions that Alaska is known for!
When Katie and Kreston were here at AKBCC last week, the sun rose about 4:00 AM and set around 11:45 PM. Summer Solstice, where the Sun travels the longest path through the sky and has the most daylight, will be June 20.
During the following 6 months, the days will slowly get darker until Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year. December 21 the sun will rise at 10:15am and will set about 4:40pm. Summer Temperatures in Palmer, Alaska average between the 60’s and 70’s and the winters average between 8 and -23 degrees.
Katie and Kreston were impressed with our stand-alone, full-service, cottages, with all the amenities the needed. You can see by the pictures they had a delightful vacation in Alaska!
When asked what Kreston thinks of Alaska, Katie said, “ He loves it! Just can’t quite decide what area we would want to buy land. If it would all stop being so beautiful that would be helpful!”
