Valentine Love Birds

by | Mar 3, 2021

Michelle and Larry, a very loving couple spent Valentine’s Day in the Pine Cottage at Alaska Backcountry Cottages!

This delightful couple shared with me how they support each other in their individual hobbies; Michelle visiting Alaska to support Larry’s fishing hobby and Larry building an AirBnB to support Michelle’s!

Michelle and Larry are world travelers, they’ve visited over 35 countries on 6 continents including Antarctica!  They love meeting new people and learning about different cultures. They’ve also visited many states in the USA!

The couple enjoyed staying a night in the Spruce Cottage and wrote a wonderful review in the Spruce Cottage Journal. “Feb 14, 2021 – Wow what a fantastic place! This little cottage is an absolute dream and we wish we could only stay longer! From our first conversation with Linda until we sadly drove away, our experience was amazing. Such a nice combination of simplicity and charm. So clean and well thought out with everything we need.”

Alaska Backcountry Cottage’s tagline is “You won’t want to leave!” and I love it when I hear guests prove our tagline true!

I hope we’ll be able to visit Larry and Michelle in the “Howdie’s Cottage” AirBnB in Nashville, Tennessee someday!

Fantastic!

What a great place! Everything you need and very well designed. Great amount of counter space 👌. The views out the front window and deck are fantastic. – Mike H.

Highly Recommended!

This place is wonderful! The view of the mountain range is excellent and the spot is secluded if your looking to wind down. Highly recommended if you are wanting to adventure in the Palmer-Wasilla area. The cottage was clean and the bed was comfortable. The owner left milk, a few eggs, coffee, oatmeal and snacks for us. It was a nice surprise. – Courtney D.
